September

We have been so happy to have the Christensen's come to Puebla to preside over the North Mission.  We have become fast friends, which is good, because we see each other every six weeks, when the new missionaries arrive in Puebla!

Elders Centeno, Gonzalez, Arellano, Samoyoa, President, Sister Reeves, Lopez, Rivera, Parra, and Aguilar

Elder Iñesta flew in Monday night from Puerto Rico where he has been serving while waiting for his Visa.  We had to pull over to pull this huge stick out from under the van...

We had a very small group going home this month... Elder Hernandez and Elder Thorpe

Our Assistants have a very funny sense of humor...

In September we were privileged to have Elder and Sister Johnson come the Mission for a Mission Tour.  We traveled around to each of the different zones and received wonderful counsel from Elder and Sister Johnson.  It was a wonderful time to learn from them.

We have been to Cholula before to see the pyramid, but they recently opened the tunnels beneath the pyramid, so we went with the Assistants to go exploring!

President and I went with the President of the Valsequillo Stake to one of the areas in the Valsequillo ward to determine if we should consider putting more missionaries in the area.  It is a huge area and has several small communities.  We had to cross the lake on a ferry to get to part of the area.  Elder Morga, Elder Lopez, Elder Weston and Elder Gonzalez came along, too.

do you like the name of this town?

the public bathrooms...

At the end of the month, we traveled to Huehuetlan for Branch Conference and found this Plumeria tree growing outside the Chapel... Of course we had to take a picture of it.

Dad's second counselor, President Lopez, and his wife came with us (on Dad's right) and the new Branch President and his wife are standing next to Dad (on his left).  President Marin, the District President, is in the white shirt on the right of the picture.

Several months ago we found some Plumeria trees and brought some home with us.  We planted them and two of the five have survived.  We have been patiently waiting for blooms and this month our patience was rewarded!  We look forward to them getting bigger over the next two years...
